“Trained as an architect, my work is influenced by the fundamentals of design: texture, line, shape, balance, and rhythm. Just as you would use to design a physical space, I use these principles to design photographs. Sand dunes present a “blank canvas” for exploring abstract visions of the world using the principles of design. In sand dunes I see the world in its most abstract way—bodies, waves, animals, or city skylines.”
